Shelby Ehlert grew up in a military family, living in seven different states before settling in Washington about ten years ago. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and has called Seattle home ever since. Shelby has been with McNeese & Trotsky since 2012 where she started as a legal assistant and with the support and encouragement of Adam and Charles, went on to pursue her law degree from Seattle University, where she graduated with honors. While a student, Shelby was a senior staff editor for the Seattle Journal for Social Justice legal journal and a member of the Women’s Law Caucus.
As a winter and outdoor enthusiast, Shelby spends her weekends riding snowmobiles at Mt. Baker or near her cabin in Cle Elum, hiking, fishing, or riding dirt bikes. Shelby is also a board member of Washington Lawyer’s for the Arts where she’s volunteered her time since 2017.
